Jonah de Forest graduated from Occidental College with a degree in theater and a minor in interdisciplinary writing. During his time in Los Angeles, he interned at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater and Cornerstone Theater Company.

Since graduating, he relocated to New York, where he reports on theater news for Broadway.com.

He is the author of the poetry collection Number one song in Heaven.
